There are several categories of
membership in the FW-TCYLA. They are
summarized as follows:
Active
Membership: Available to Attorneys
in good standing with the State Bar of Texas that live or work in Tarrant
County and are 36 or younger on September 1 or have been licensed in Texas for
less than 10 years. Active members have the right to vote and hold office in the FW-TCYLA.
Affiliate
Membership: Available to Attorneys
in good standing with the State Bar of Texas who do not otherwise meet either
the age, years or practice, or location requirements for active membership.
Associate
Member: Available to Attorneys in good
standing with any other State or US Territory Bar Association or non-lawyers
(other than law students.)
Law Student Membership: Available to
persons regularly enrolled in a program of higher education leading to a
Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree or its equivalent.
